Former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Judicial Remand Extended in Pakistan’s Cypher Case: Latest Updates and Details

Islamabad: A special court in Pakistan has extended the judicial remand of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, who is in jail in the case of leaking official secrets (Cypher case) till September 26.

Special Court Judge Abul Hasnat Zulqarnain conducted the trial of the case inside the Attock Jail where Imran Khan is lodged. Former Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was also produced in the court on Wednesday following completion of his 14-day judicial remand.

Imran Khan has been in jail since August 5 following being convicted in the Tosha Khana scam. On August 29, the Islamabad High Court suspended his sentence, but he remains in Attock jail in the Cipher case.
