New Delhi: A 40-year-old man has been beaten to death by locals for raping his pet daughter. The victim was a native of Uttamnagar in Delhi. On Friday evening, a phone call was received at the Dabri police station reporting a rape case. The girl’s mother testified that her second husband abused her daughter when police arrived at the scene.
But even before the police reached the spot, the locals had beaten the accused to death. Police released the accused from the crowd and took him to the station. Poxo was charged and arrested. He was rushed to hospital at night but his life was not spared. The hospital officials said that the cause of death was serious head injury.
