Doha: More than 24 lakh passengers traveled by Doha Metra and Lusail Tram in the first four days of the World Cup football. Doha Metra and Lusail Tram brought fans to tournament stadiums, entertainment centers, fan zones, fan festivals, etc. Qatar Railway Company (Qatar Rail) announced that 2,351,244 people traveled to different places on Metra on the Red, Green and Gold lines during the first four days of the tournament.

According to Qatar Rail’s daily statistics, the number of Lucille tram users has exceeded 91,500 during the same period. This highlights the efficiency and capacity of the modern transport networks implemented by Qatar to ensure seamless and easy travel for tournament fans, citizens and residents.

544,962 passengers traveled on November 20 and 529,904 passengers on the following day via Doha Metra. Westbay, Souq Waqif and DECC stations were the most frequented by passengers. Last Tuesday alone, the number of passengers reached 650881.

On Wednesday too, the number of passengers crossed one lakh. The operating hours of all three lines have been extended with the aim of providing a safe travel experience for all to accommodate more visitors and fans.
