“ÖVP Economics Minister Kocher and his team out of control”
Vienna (OTS) – “Today the black-green federal government is using the housing policy wrecking ball once morest social and non-profit housing,” said FPÖ building spokesman NAbg. Mag. Philipp Schrangl following the parliamentary buildings committee.
“A deceptive package called rent control is being pushed through. At the same time, non-profit building associations are being cleared away like a Christmas tree without compensation. “Ultimately, this is not a rent brake, but a brake on social housing – and therefore an accelerant in housing policy,” said Schrangl, recalling the public warnings from the Austrian Association of Non-Profit Building Associations.
“The fact that the Black-Green coalition is now actually voting for investor apartments in non-profit housing is the last straw. In particular, we will not release the responsible ÖVP Economics Minister Kocher from responsibility here. He and his house have gotten completely out of control,” said Schrangl, who announced parliamentary initiatives.
