People’s Party in step with real estate magnates

Vienna (OTS) “The latest housing policy announcements by ÖVP Finance Minister Brunner are a slap in the face to hundreds of thousands of tenants,” criticized FPÖ building spokesman NAbg. Mag. Philipp Schrangl’s statements to the news magazine “profil”.

“Housing is a basic need – and yet it is becoming a luxury for more and more people. And the Minister of Finance is still committed to rising rents. It is simply irresponsible from a social and socio-political point of view to continue to oppose a rent cap,” says Schrangl.

“One thing is clear: the ÖVP’s housing policy is not normal. Rather, one moves in lockstep with real estate magnates and drives people more and more into poverty,” emphasized Schrangl and announced a further request in the National Council.
