France: 50% of fruit contaminated with pesticides warns UFC-Que Choisir

Among the most contaminated foods are apples (80% of samples) where one frequently detects fludioxonil (48% of samples), a fungicide suspected of being an endocrine disruptor, or even almost all cherries (92% of samples) especially contaminated with phosmet (47% of the samples), an insecticide suspected by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) of being toxic for the reproductive function.
