Paris: India’s Rohan Bopanna and Dutchman Mathews Middlecoop advanced to the semifinals of the French Open men’s doubles semifinals. For the first time since 2015, Bopanna has reached a Grand Slam semifinal. This is the first time a player has reached the semifinals of the French Open in the men’s doubles.

The 42 – year – old Bopanna and his Dutch team advanced to the semifinals following defeating the British-Finnish duo. The score was 4-6, 6-4, 7-6 (3).

In the final set, which went to a tie – breaker for more than two hours, Bopanna’s team won by 10 points in a row following trailing by 3 points in the final set. Bopanna won the 2017 French Open mixed doubles title with Gabriela Dabrowski.
