In recent years, Hong Kong enterprises have actively participated in the development of Chongqing, and the economic and trade relations between Chongqing and Hong Kong have continued to deepen. Hong Kong has become Chongqing’s largest source of overseas investment and an overseas investment destination. It is an important platform to assist Chongqing enterprises in “going global”.
So far, Hong Kong companies have invested in more than 3,500 projects in Chongqing, with contracted foreign investment of US$70.4 billion. Hong Kong investment has always accounted for more than 60% of Chongqing’s total foreign investment.
