Rome/Frankfurt – The Italian state railways FS are focusing on international expansion and are looking to Germany. The company wants to realize long-term projects, including the overdue expansion of cross-border traffic to Austria and Germany. By 2026 at the latest, the railway subsidiary Trenitalia wants to take the “Frecciarossa” high-speed train from Milan to Munich via Tyrol, according to railway boss Luigi Ferraris to the “FAZ” (Thursday).
