Apparently he passed on to his son the sensitivity to emergencies and preparedness that one develops as a member of the military. In 1983, Walter Neugebauer and his wife Franziska built a small power station to generate their own electricity. In the last few days and even during smaller power outages before that – “it happens once more and once more with us,” says Stefanie Neugebauer – everyone was very happy regarding this achievement.
