Georges-Louis Bouchez: President of the Reform Movement Extends Term Amidst Political Party Elections and Negotiations

2023-10-09 13:37:37

Georges-Louis Bouchez will remain president for at least one year. It is he who should chair the political party until following the municipal elections of 2024. An agreement was reached on Saturday within the executive office of the Reform Movement, an agreement which will still have to be ratified this Monday, October 9 by the party council. It meets at 9 a.m.

Georges-Louis Bouchez is reappointed for another year but his presidency should, however, be more collegial. The preparation of lists for the legislative elections of June 9 and the post-electoral negotiations may not be a smooth ride, with the ebullient president not wanting to let go until then.

The mandate of Georges-Louis Bouchez – elected for four years to this position on November 29, 2019 – expired at the end of November.
