The German government has insisted that imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny receive “immediate” medical assistance. According to Berlin, he was convicted in a political trial and needs urgent medical attention. The 46-year-old Navalny is in a punishment cell and announced on Wednesday that he had a fever and was not receiving medical assistance.
