A lady from Germany got quite a surprise while cleaning her house for Christmas. By discovering an old lottery ticket from two years ago, she pocketed more than $145,300.
In February 2021, the woman purchased a Super 6 lottery ticket, only to put it away in an office and completely forget regarding its existence, according to information from the New York Post.
She had spent nearly $58 betting on the same six figures for four weeks. Two years later, she discovered that the ticket was a winner.
“I do not believe it! It’s as if I had just rediscovered a forgotten treasure,” she confided.
Lottery officials reported that the lottery ticket was in perfect condition when they received it.
In Germany, prizes from a 2021 lottery can be claimed until December 31, 2024.
