Vienna/Dubai – The FPÖ Styria must compensate Climate Protection Minister Leonore Gewessler (Greens) for defamation. The reason for this is the spread of a picture montage with a sleeping woman on social media following the 2022 climate summit in Egypt, in which Gewessler was accused of sleeping through the conference. However, the person pictured was not the minister. The Graz Higher Regional Court ordered the FPÖ state party to pay compensation of 13,000 euros.
