Rome: Retired legendary goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon will work with the Italian national football team. The Italian Football Federation has stated that Buffon will be with the team as the delegation chief.
Buffon will work alongside national team coach Roberto Mancini. The late Gianluca Vialli previously held this position. Buffon, who retired from international football in 2018, stopped playing at the club level last week.
Buffon, 45, has played 176 times for Italy. He was a member of the team that won the World Cup in 2006.
