The preparations took a long time and a lot of negotiations were necessary, but on Tuesday the Gmunden municipal council was able to decide on the general renovation of the city theater. The listed building from 1872 will be restored in two construction phases by 2025. The project will cost 4.4 million euros, half of which will be covered by the state government.
