The Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) seized 209 units of insulin, a drug for diabetic patients that would allegedly be sold illegally, according to military sources.
The seizure was carried out by military personnel stationed at the Citizen Service Point located at the entrance to Ospino (Portuguesa). There they detained a Chevrolet Caprice vehicle, license plate 02AA3VS, driven by José Daniel Moreno Urbina who was detained.
The 209 units of insulin were located inside the car: 100 Lantus brand, 25 Detemir, 25 Deglutec, 10 Apidra and 49 Asparta.
The detainee was handed over to the Public Ministry for prosecution for drug smuggling.
