Gold shop thief claims 4.5 billion, to provide money for lovers

Nu claimed to walk for a while and then took a motorbike taxi to move. After that, Nu got out of the car once more, walked a bit, to find another motorbike taxi to go back to the inn to erase the traces.

On the morning of January 29, when receiving news of the theft of a gold shop with great property value, the Criminal Police Department cooperated with the District 12 Police to investigate. Through extracting the camera at the gold shop, in many routes and many other professional measures, the police have located the suspect.

On the evening of January 30, scouts broke into an inn in Thuan An city, arresting Nu. All the gold stolen from KT, Nu hid in his backpack, stored in the wardrobe on the first floor of the inn, not yet consumed.

Nu said she had a wife and children in her hometown but now lives with her lover. In order to have money to spend and provide for her lover, Nu specializes in theft and only targets places of great value, such as gold shops.

Suspect Nu admitted that in November 2021, he broke into and stole a large amount of gold rings and jewelry from a gold shop on Phan Dinh Giot Street, An Phu Ward, Thuan An City.

At that time, the shop owner declared to the police that the stolen property was worth an estimated 2 billion VND. However, Nu admitted, having divided this amount of gold, sold it in many stores and received 780 million VND.

Police suspect Pham Van Nu has committed many other thefts, so they are continuing to expand the investigation.
