Goldman Sachs: hired to prevent insider trading, charged with insider trading

Jose Luis Casero Sanchez, an employee of the famous US bank Goldman Sachs, was recently charged with insider trading. Ironically, he had been acting since 2019 as a Regulatory Compliance Officer and one of his main jobs was to fight … insider trading.

Indeed, the 35-year-old man who worked at the branch in Warsaw, Poland, had access to a lot of confidential information about the bank.

However, from September 2020 to May 2021, he would have taken advantage of this information to pocket at least $ 470,000 by carrying out 45 transactions.

Jose Luis Casero Sanchez would have used four bank accounts belonging to his parents, which would have put the chip in the ear of the bank which then questioned it. The next day, Mr. Casero Sanchez tendered his resignation.
