Gómez Palacio begins 2023 within the cities with the highest number of femicides in Mexico
The municipality of Gómez Palacio is on the list of the 62 cities that begin 2023 with the highest number of registered femicides in the country at the end of January, according to the most recent report published by the Executive Secretary of the National System of Public Security (SESNSP).
In 2022, the municipality of La Laguna closed the year in position number 31 with a total of 6 femicides, below the municipality of Torreón, which also ranked 30 with 6 registered femicides.
It is the only municipality that registers this type of crime in the state of Durango.
