González Urrutia will start his presidential campaign from his native Aragua

The candidate of the Democratic Unitary Platform (PUD), Edmundo González Urrutia, indicated that he will begin his tour of the country on Saturday 18 in the state of Aragua, specifically in the town of La Victoria, the diplomat’s hometown.

In an interview with Colombian newspaper El Tiempo, the former ambassador stressed that political leaders of the PUD will be present at the rally.

Earlier, the candidate shared a video with the coordinator of Vente Venezuela, María Corina Machado, in which he highlighted the importance of the “comanditos” in view of the presidential elections; for which reason he urged citizens to form one of these units with 10 people to protect the vote.

Edmundo González Urrutia had announced in an interview with the Associated Press that he would begin his presidential campaign at the end of May. He explained that María Corina Machado and other political leaders continue to organize events throughout the country to boost the opposition’s efforts.

He said that one of the most important things that is happening today is that political activities with the people are carried out with enthusiasm by the citizens, since in his opinion “those feelings of joy, of a democratic celebration, are awakening.”
