Representative Jamil Al-Sayyed tweeted on his Twitter account, writing: “A statement by the Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, today: “I advise the judiciary to start investigating politicians, not me. They target me because they fear targeting politicians.”
Mr. Salameh addressed: “No one targeted you. You participated with them, and they shared with you over the years. You were reassured that the prosecution and investigation judges in Lebanon are your partners and associates, but the strike came from the French judiciary, followed by the Swiss and others.”
Al-Sayed continued, “We told you from a long time that they will squeeze you and suffocate you, but you were arrogant and did not believe it. Today, my advice to you once more is that if you do not make it large enough for everyone, it will come out with your head alone.”
