Tariq Rahmi, Governor of Gharbia, announced the cancellation of the celebration of the birth of Al-Arif Billah Sidi Ahmed Al-Badawi in the city of Tanta, which is scheduled for this October, as a precautionary measure to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic.

He added to “The Seventh Day”, that the usual celebration ceremonies to be carried out every year were canceled, and any celebrations or tents were prohibited, whether in the vicinity of the mosque, or in the celebrations square in Sejr.

He explained that the celebrations will be limited only to praying in the mosque, and banning any other celebrations, noting that the last Friday of the Mawlid week will be attended by Dr. Shawki Allam, Mufti of the Republic, and Dr. Muhammad Mukhtar Gomaa, Minister of Awqaf.

He indicated that he issued directives to the executives to warn shop owners not to occupy the road in the vicinity of the mosque, not to overcrowd, and to apply precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Corona epidemic.
