Gran Hospital del Sur will be delivered before the end of the year to begin equipment

Asunción, IP Agency.- The building works of the Gran Hospital del Sur are more than 94% complete for completion in the month of December. During 2025 the process of equipment and construction of accesses will be carried out.

The new hospital is located in the district of Encarnación, department of Itapúa, and will provide care to 1,040,000 inhabitants.

The project has 40,000 m2 of the main building and complementary structures such as a heliport, oxygen generating plant and effluent treatment plant, detailed architect Leticia Herreros, from the Ministry of Public Works (MOPC).

The hospital consists of 232 hospitalization and therapy beds, 58 offices, 13 operating rooms, intensive care area, differentiated emergencies for adults and children, gynecology area, dialysis area, among others, he indicated in an interview with Paraguay TV.

With its delivery in December to the Ministry of Health, the process of equipping the new high-complexity hospital will begin, especially for the area of ​​biomedicine.

The Great Hospital of the South is located on a property near the Porã stream, Encarnación district. The contract covers elements such as parking (10,000 m²), landscaping, recreation, effluent treatment plant, oxygen generating plant, among others.

The company in charge, with an investment of G. 209,994,116,609, is the Southern Hospital Consortium, made up of Sociedad Constructora Chaco SA (Barrail Hermanos SA de Construcciones, EISA and Ricardo Díaz Martínez).
