The comedian, Moussa Sanguiana Kaba alias Grand P, calls on the president of the Guinean transition to remain in power if the country’s national team wins the CAN.

It’s no secret that the artist Grand P has been in the good graces of those in power since the arrival of the CNRD. It was with General Mamadi Doumbouya that he was appointed ambassador of Guinean culture and benefited from a diplomatic passport. As a result, he obtains privileges that he would always like to keep.

The artist therefore calls on the president of the transition to remain in power for life (koudai, soussou word) as did the former Guinean president, the late General Lansana Conté, who remained in power for 24 years.

“If Guinea wins the CAN, you want President Mamadi Doumbouya koudai or not. [Il restera] president for 20 years like the late General Lansana Conté,” he wrote on on the Facebook page with more than 7.7 million subscribers.

This declaration comes as Guinea participates in the 34th edition of the 2023 African Cup of Nations which is taking place in Ivory Coast. The country which reached the round of 16 stage for the first time will face the Democratic Republic of Congo in the quarter-finals on Friday February 2, 2024.
