Here is a look at the Greater Lansing high school boys soccer Dream Team and all-area selections.

PLAYERS OF THE YEAR

Xtreme Hauk

School: East Lansing

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: Hauk was a Division 1 second team all-state selection by the Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association and led the CAAC Blue champion Trojans. He finished with 19 goals and two assists while helping East Lansing to a 12-5-2 record.

Alex Palmer

School: Mason

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: Palmer was named the Division 2 defensive player of the year and helped the Bulldogs to a state runner-up finish. The first team all-state selection had four goals and an assist.

DREAM TEAM

Cam French

School: DeWitt

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The defender was a Division 2 honorable mention all-state selection and had three assists for the CAAC Gold Cup champion Panthers, who also claimed a district title.

Blendi Jahiri

School: Mason

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: Jahiri was a Division 2 first team all-state selection and had 17 goals and 16 assists for the state runner-up Bulldogs.

Jack Lemerand

School: Alma

Year: Sophomore

Accomplishments: Lemerand had 18 goals and 15 assists and earned Division 3 second team all-state honors while helping the Panthers to league, district and regional titles.

Jorge Loaisiga

School: East Lansing

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The defender was a Division 1 honorable mention all-state selection and helped the Trojans claim a CAAC Blue title.

Colin Lomax

School: Mason

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: The defender was a Division 2 second team all-state selection and helped the Bulldogs to a state runner-up finish.

Lucas Nay

School: Mason

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The midfielder had 11 goals and 19 assists while earning Division 2 first team all-state recognition for the state runner-up Bulldogs.

Matthew Palmer

School: Williamston

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The defender helped the Hornets capture a district title and earned Division 3 second team all-state accolades.

Brayden Powers

School: DeWitt

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The forward had 20 goals and five assists and helped the Panthers to CAAC Gold Cup and district titles while earning Division 2 first team all-state honors.

Owen Resch

School: Lansing Christian

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: Resch was a Division 4 first team all-state selection and had a school-record 53 goals and 26 assists while helping the Pilgrims to GLAC and district titles.

Leo Richter

School: Alma

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The forward had 31 goals and nine assists while earning Division 3 first team all-state honors and helping the Panthers reach the state semifinals. He set the school’s career record with 91 goals.

Jonny Schwarz

School: DeWitt

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The goalkeeper was a Division 2 honorable mention all-state selection and helped the Panthers to CAAC Gold Cup and district championships. He had 7.5 shutouts and a 0.71 goals once morest average.

Charlie Stover

School: Okemos:

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: Stover was a Division 1 honorable mention all-state selection.

Christian Trunk

School: East Lansing

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The midfielder was a D1 honorable mention all-state selection and had a goal and 10 assists for the CAAC Blue champion Trojans.

Mason Shop

School: Holt

Year: Senior

Accomplishments: The defender was a Division 1 honorable mention all-state selection and had a goal and two assists.

Collin Winters

School: Mason

Year: Junior

Accomplishments: The midfielder had seven goals and 18 assists and was a Division 2 third team all-state selection.

CO-COACH: Jacob Derby, Mason: Guided the Bulldogs to CAAC, district and regional titles and a Division 2 state runner-up finish. Derby was named the state’s small school coach of the year.

CO-COACH: Nick O’Neill, Alma: Led the Panthers to Division 3 district and regional championships and a state semifinal appearance. He earned third team all-state honors.
