Green light for approval of the first Korean Corona vaccine l KBS WORLD

A pharmacist advisory board has given the green light for the approval of the first corona vaccine developed in South Korea.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on Monday that the Central Advisory Committee of Pharmacists discussed the safety and effectiveness of the SK Bioscience-developed corona vaccine “SKYCovione” on Sunday. The panel concluded that its need for preventive purposes was recognized and that, given the deliberations of a review board, the vaccine might be authorised.

The ministry wants to examine the data submitted via SKYCovione and comprehensively evaluate expert opinions and other details such as effect and dose. After that, the authority wants to have the committee meet for the last review to decide on approval.
