Like hardly any other country in Western Europe, Austria is still heavily dependent on fossil gas, especially from Russia. The environmental organization Greenpeace once once more makes it clear that it is important to get out of this as quickly as possible. Especially since the continued use of natural gas not only promotes global warming, but also helps finance the war in Ukraine.
