Environmental activist on Swedish postage stamp
Greta Thunberg now adorns a Swedish postage stamp. The new series called “Valuable Nature” is available from today.
Greta Thunberg’s (18, “No One Is Too Small to Make a Difference”) commitment to the environment is recognized once again. The climate activist is the motif of a new Swedish stamp series called “Precious Nature”. That gave the logistics company PostNord in a press release known. As a picture on Instagram shows, the 18-year-old Swede is portrayed on the stamp in her iconic yellow raincoat. She stands on a cliff and watches flying swallows.
“We are very pleased that Greta is symbolized next to several important images on our stamps,” says a statement from PostNord. Thunberg’s work is important “to preserve our nature for future generations”. In the future, the company also wants to focus on the environment and climate impacts “and steer the industry in the right direction”. The stamp series will be available from Thursday (January 14th).
