A British father-to-be had a great time before he tragically lost his life earlier this week, reports Chronicle Live.
Ben Cann, 20, was attending a gender reveal party for his future child on July 2, but was seriously injured in a collision with another vehicle in the village of Killingworth as he was returning of the celebration.
The young man succumbed to his injuries last Monday, regarding three weeks following the accident.
“When he popped the balloon and found out he was going to have a baby girl, he was overjoyed. I captured the moment on video,” said the young man’s mother, Judith Cann, adding that her son had left the party regarding 20 minutes before the accident occurred.
“He had a wonderful day and had a huge smile on his face. The one thing we can all say as a family is that we had hugs, smiles and a good time with him that day,” said Ms. Cann.
Following the death of Ben Cann, a crowdfunding campaign was launched on the site GoFundMe to help his family. Over 4200 Canadian dollars have been raised so far.
