After two years without activities of volunteering face-to-face, on January 25, the first group of Korean volunteers from the World Friends Korea program (WFK), as reported by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (Dog).
The four women, who received a two-month training, will begin their work teaching classes on the Korean language under the face-to-face modality, in various public university in Lima.

This Asian team will study español and learn more regarding the peruvian culture, as part of an intensive adaptation program to their new country of residence. It should be noted that, at the end of this period, they will be able to start their work on a regular basis.
In this sense, following the arrival of the pandemic in march 2020, the volunteers of that time returned to Korea; however, some continued their generous work virtually. By the end of 2022, Dog hopes to receive more groups of volunteers in various specialties who will be very helpful in this laudable work they do.

Before the start of COVID-19 and subsequent restrictions due to it, the volunteer group used to carry out social development activities in various cities in Peru in the following areas:
- Medicine
- Nursing
- Physiotherapy
- Special education
- Korean language
- Environment
- Taekwondo
- Others.
It should be noted that Peru is considered a priority country in the non-reimbursable international cooperation program of the Korean government.
