FFootball star coach Pep Guardiola has extended his expiring contract with Manchester City by two years until 2023. The club announced on Thursday. The former coach of FC Bayern and FC Barcelona took over the job at Manchester City in the summer of 2016.
With the club, the 49-year-old won two English championships in a row in 2018 and 2019, the FA Cup and three league cups. In the Champions League, however, the team under Guardiola never made it past the quarter-finals.
“I have felt so welcome since I arrived. We had great success together, scored goals, won games and trophies. We are very proud of that ”, Guardiola was quoted as saying.
