Horror with Austrian participation: Mexican star director Guillermo del Toro is currently working on a new adaptation of Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”. According to information from the streaming service, the cast of the Netfilx remake also includes two local acting stars: Oscar winner Christoph Waltz (“Django Unchained”) and shooting star Felix Kammerer (“Nothing New in the West”).
There is no information yet regarding which roles the two actors will take on. What is already certain is that del Toro, who also acts as screenwriter and co-producer, has hired Oscar Isaac (“Moon Knight”) as Victor Frankenstein and Jacob Elordi (“Priscilla”, “Saltburn”) as the monstrous creature of the eponymous scientist. It has not yet been announced when the film will be released on Netflix.
