Figure of the anti-colonial struggle in Africa, Amilcar Cabral was assassinated fifty years ago. Heroes of the struggle for the independence of Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau, what remains of his legacy? According to the historian and specialist in Pan-Africanism, Amzat Boukari-Yabara “the particularity of Amilcar Cabral is that he is the father of the independence of two different countries, which is unique in the history of the African continent”.
