No new qualifier this Sunday, February 21 for the 2021 African Basketball Championship. Seven matches were played, but they concerned either groups where there is no longer any suspense, or groups whose calendar is not still up to date. In group A (Tunisia, DRC and Central African Republic qualified, Madagascar eliminated), Tunisia beat the Central African Republic (63-58) and the DRC beat Madagascar (89-64). In group B (Senegal, Angola and Kenya qualified, Mozambique eliminated), Mozambique won against Kenya (77-44) and Angola won against Senegal (82-51). In group C (Ivory Coast and Cameroon qualified, Guinea and Equatorial Guinea still in the running), Ivory Coast dominated Cameroon (64-57). In the other crucial match, Guinea won over Equatorial Guinea (80-71). Guinea are currently third and qualified (7 points), but Equatorial Guinea (6 points) still have one game to play against Cameroon. Finally, in Group E where only Egypt is qualified for the moment, the Pharaohs beat Morocco (84-59). There are still three games to play to separate Cape Verde, Morocco and Uganda. Recall of qualifiers on February 21 (13 out of 16): Rwanda (as host country), Angola, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Kenya, Mali, DRC, Nigeria, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia. Still in contention on February 21: Cape Verde, Guinea, Equatorial Guinea, Morocco, Uganda.
