It’s official. Guinea, a happy people! According to the World Happiness Report (WHR) 2023, the Republic of Guinea is among the four happiest countries in Africa, the first in West Africa and 91st in the world. Guinea shares the African top 5 podium with Algeria (1st), South Africa (2nd), the Republic of Congo (3rd) and Côte d’Ivoire (5th). With this ranking, Guinea has the highest happiness index in West Africa, ahead of Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Ghana and Senegal.
