Gunshots are heard in the middle of the night in Montreal

Gunshots were heard in the Rivières-des-Prairies borough of Montreal in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Around 1:20 a.m., 9-1-1 received a call for broken windows from a residence located on Anna-Paquin Street, near Mariana-Jodoin.

When the police arrived, they found that the damage had been caused by shots fired in the direction of a residence.

They located firearm projectiles, as well as casings on the ground.

There were no injuries or arrests in this event. According to the first information, collected on the spot, the suspects would have fled immediately following shooting, before the arrival of the police.

A security perimeter has been set up to protect the crime scene.

The canine squad, forensic identification technicians and investigators will now move to the scene to analyze the scene and try to understand the causes and circumstances of this event.
