Dyson has updated its iconic Supersonic hairdryer with AI-powered scalp care features. The new product is called Supersonic Nural and will be available for sale by the summer of 2024.
Of course, Supersonic Nural won’t order you a taxi or tell you a fairy tale: AI is used by the hairdryer to process and interpret data from a variety of new sensors.
The new product is equipped with TOF sensors, which are used to determine the distance to the user’s head. In this way, Nural can control the temperature of the air flow, preventing damage to hair and skin.
In addition, the hair dryer now remembers the settings that the user uses with different attachments, and also automatically turns off when it is placed on any surface.
The design of the Supersonic Nural remains virtually unchanged. The main innovation that immediately catches your eye is the transparent rear panel with RGB backlighting, which changes depending on the temperature of the air flow.
