“Hannah Philomena Scheiber – Ultra Mare”: Premiere at the Treasures of the Austrian Bank Art Forum in Vienna

“Ultramarine blue – the basic color in my work – was once one of the most valuable colors. The original feminine color was used to commemorate the blue cloak of the Virgin Mary. The original pigment “oltre mare” means “Above the sea”. Mountains are tectonic plates pushed towards the sea and are part of nature, and I wanted to use this color to pay homage to nature. The deep cadmium yellow symbolizes true love – a reminder of the fragility of my country. An impressive ode to nature.
