Haritsis for Tempi: “Mr. Mitsotakis must come to the Parliament and apologize” – 2024-03-22 05:06:09

“Mr. Mitsotakis must come to Parliament and apologize for the cover-up attempt. He should not think of hiding behind his ministers”, said the president of the KO of the New Left, Alexis Haritsis, ahead of tomorrow’s debate in the Parliament on the conclusion of the Inquiry on Tempi.

“Yesterday I heard Mrs. Karystianou’s speech at the European Parliament. I was shocked, like all Greek women and all Greek men. I commit and we commit to the relatives of the victims but also to the entire Greek society: We will not allow the government to cover up the crime of Tempi” he emphasized in his statement from the Peristyle of the Parliament.

Mr. Haritsis pointed out that the New Left last week submitted a law proposal so that the citizens’ signatures might reach the Parliament. “Tomorrow the conclusion of the Inquiry on Tempi will be discussed in the Plenary. Mr. Mitsotakis must come to Parliament and apologize for the cover-up attempt. He should not think of hiding behind his ministers”, he stressed. He added that the prime minister “must finally take political responsibility”. “The future of our democracy is being judged and we will say it until the last moment: the crime of Tempe will not be forgotten,” he noted.
