Harry Potter and glass artisans invite themselves to the Cité des Loisirs d’Amnéville

When glass craftsmanship mixes with the magic of Harry Potter. Since yesterday and until the beginning of January, the leisure center of Amnéville welcomes a event baptized “La Féérie du Verre”. Craftsmen from the Arribas company, who normally work for Disneyland parks stores all over the world, exhibit their productions and offer entertainment within the Emax Events Factory.

Unique decorations

For a year, the glassmakers of Arribas have specialized in the productions of the Harry Potter license. The opportunity to show their know-how, and to offer new decorations to enthusiasts. “It’s amazing to see all these objects that look like the ones in the movies”, testify Elias, a young enthusiast who came with his mother Murielle, also a fan of the saga.

Mug of beer, flask of magic potion, Christmas ball … All these decorations and gadgets fascinate Elodie and Adrien, a couple of fans of the world of the most famous of wizards. Only problem: “We already have no more places, we will have to push the walls … If we continue to buy, we will have to move” laughs Adrien.

Glass sandblasting and baby dragon

Three activities are also offered to children, to help them discover the techniques of glass craftsmanship. They can attend the blowing of glass pumpkins, engrave ghosts on the windows of a lantern, or even … plunge their hands into a machine to sand small illustrated plates.

A sorcerer’s cloak on his shoulders, Romain runs a stand where children transform eggs … into a dragon. “It’s great to see the stars in children’s eyes when they discover their little dragon with colorful wings”.

“For us, it is a way to introduce our art to the general public, rejoices Grégory Viseux, director of Arribas France. They are shown both previously unseen pieces, like this incredible reproduction of Hogwarts Castle, first exhibited here. (see photo on the front page of the article). But we are also in the interaction and the experiential, to open this niche profession to the public “.
