Former General Election Commission (KPU) Commissioner Wahyu Setiawan claims he does not know all of the five people who were prevented in connection with the bribery case for the replacement of interim (PAW) members of the House of Representatives (DPR) that implicated fugitive Harun Masiku. PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto’s staff, Kusnadi, is included in the list.

“There are some who know him, some who don’t,” said Wahyu at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Monday, July 29, 2024.

Wahyu admitted that he did not know Kusnadi. He also said that he did not know the interests of the five people who were prevented.

“I don’t know. The material wasn’t like that,” said Wahyu.

He was actually just questioned regarding Harun. Wahyu was asked 15 questions and some of the information is believed to help investigators find Harun.

“I provide further information to help investigators complete their tasks,” said Wahyu.

Previously, the KPK asked the Directorate General of Immigration of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Kemenkumham) to issue a prevention status for five people believed to be related to the bribery case of PAW members of the DPR that implicated fugitive Harun Masiku. In addition to Kusnadi, the parties prevented were SP, YPW, DTI, and DB.

Based on the information gathered, their full names are lawyer Simeon Petrus, lawyer Yanuar Prawira Wasesa, lawyer Donny Tri Istiqomah, and private party Dona Berisa.

“The prohibition is because the person’s presence in Indonesian territory is needed in order to ensure the smooth running of the investigation process,” said KPK spokesperson Tessa Mahardika Sugiarto at the KPK’s Red and White Building, South Jakarta, Tuesday, July 23, 2024. (Z-2)
