A new horrific case of sexual abuse has come to light, this time in Crete with an 18-year-old reporting his godfather for rape.
The complaint for rape was made by the young man at the Juvenile Office of the Security Sub-Directorate of Heraklion, Crete. As he complained, his godfather raped him since he was 9 years old.
The 18-year-old believed for years, even as a teenager, that he had caused it and needed psychological support to appear strong today. After regarding 7 years of not raping him, he found the courage and strength to report the 50-year-old man for raping him from the age of 9 to 12.
The police had been investigating the complaint for some time and were trying to document the case until on Wednesday night (01.05.2024) they proceeded, following a coordinated effort, to arrest the alleged perpetrator.
In fact, information states that the 50-year-old was teaching the child music and under this pretext he found the opportunity to spend many moments alone with him.
The parents of the 18-year-old are in shock as the 50-year-old was a man of their absolute trust.
