Malayinkeesh (Thiruvananthapuram) ∙ The man who brutally beat his wife in front of his grandchildren and recorded the footage on his phone was arrested. Dileep (27), who lives on rent at Kulakottu, Malainkeezh, was arrested by the Malainkeezh police.
Dileep got drunk and beat up his wife Athira on Sunday night. Dileep took a selfie on his phone and took a video of him attacking and fighting. In the video, Dileep says that he himself attacked his wife. In the video, Athira can be seen crying with her injured body saying that she has gone to work to pay off loans and feed her children.
The attack happened while his four-year-old son and two-year-old daughter were watching. Athira, who suffered head and face injuries, along with her relative, sought shelter from the police on Monday morning. Dileep was arrested on their complaint.
