While the bride appeared during the clip, wearing the traditional Pakistani dress in its red and green colors, and she was walking with her groom, and following that she sat on one of the two scales of a huge scale, and one of the invitees placed gold on the opposite side of her so that the weights were equal to each other.
It became clear that the man intended to pay the bride price according to her weight in gold to her husband’s family, which sparked a wave of criticism on the communication sites, as many considered that he was an unnecessary use of money for the sake of social prestige only.
Others have also criticized the businessman for showing off in this way at a time when Pakistan is suffering from an economic crisis.
And one of the pioneers of social networking sites confirmed that the wedding took place in Dubai.
However, the surprise was when it was later revealed that the gold used was fake and part of the “general wedding theme”, which was orchestrated to be the embodiment of the famous Bollywood movie “Jodhaa Akbar”.
