Tears welled up in the eyes of actor Johnny Depp during a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival for his new movie.
Depp plays the French king, Louis XV, in “Jeanne du Barry”, and this was his first movie following the high-profile defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard in 2022.
And the actor spoke at a press conference regarding the dispute in which the jury found that both parties defamed the other in it, saying that “with regard to me and my life, the majority of what you have read is a novel written in a fictional and horrific way,” as he put it.
