Dr. Muhammad Yahya Badran, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Qena Governorate, said that the medical teams of the Health Directorate held awareness and education seminars in many of the governorate’s mosques, following Friday prayers for worshipers, regarding reproductive health and family planning, in which mosque imams, media and family planning officials, and a number of department directors participated. Badran pointed out that the series of awareness and guidance seminars comes within the state’s plan to coordinate between various ministries, with the aim of spreading sound health awareness and medical guidance towards family planning and ways to benefit from presidential initiatives in this regard.
Dr. Rania Al-Mashara, Director of the Family Planning Department at the Health Directorate, added that the seminars touched on the presentation of the National Population Strategy announced by President Sisi, and the importance of that strategy in creating a healthy society where all its children enjoy integrated health care and the various services that the state provides to citizens.
