In a remarkable display of commitment to public health and child well-being, the Ministry of Health in Tucumán, led by Dr. Luis Medina Ruiz, has announced an urgent aeroevacuation to save the life of a three-year-old girl diagnosed with Wilms tumor.
Emergency Medical Transfer to Garrahan Hospital
Under the directive of Governor Osvaldo Jaldo and the supervision of the Minister of Health, the transfer operation was executed from the Hospital del Niño Jesús to the renowned Garrahan Hospital. Garrahan Hospital accepted the child’s hospitalization, ensuring immediate medical attention.
Dedicated Health Team and Support
The child was accompanied by her mother, who received support and counseling from the social services of the Hospital of Origin. The Ministry’s Social Service Division coordinated with the Provincial Directorate of Aeronautics, facilitated by the flight crew, Commander José Luis Bustos and co-pilot Eduardo Pastor.
The health team included Dr. Patricia Villagra as the medical aeroevacuator and nurse Gabriela Leal. Additionally, the Official Representation of the Government of Tucumán in Buenos Aires will provide support and monitoring for the family upon arrival.

“The child arrived with normal, compensated parameters,” reported Dr. Villagra. An ambulance was waiting at the airport to facilitate the ground transfer to Garrahan Hospital.
