Asuncion, IP Agency.- With the installation of four incubators and two monitors at the San Pedro Regional Hospital, its capacity for inpatient therapy is increased and benefits are added for specialized care for neonatal and adult patients in the II Health Region, in the department of San Pedro. In June alone, neonatal therapy received 22 patients and adult therapy 17.
The medical equipment was provided as a contribution from the China-Taiwan Los Angeles Foundation.
In the same period, the hospital recorded 122 live births by caesarean section and normal births, in addition to 11,000 visits to the clinic and emergency room.
With these medical supplies, the service takes an important step towards providing comprehensive care to users, said the director of the health center, Edison Florentín.
In this regard, he explained that with these incubators the capacity for hospitalizing newborns increases to eight and four for adult therapy, highlighting that this is a major goal achieved this year.
