Caretaker Health Minister Firas Al-Abyad pointed out today, Tuesday, that “in the season of respiratory viruses, most notably H1N1, we are still in the stage of guiding people regarding the Corona virus.”

He added in an interview with Voice of Lebanon, “The situation of counterfeiting medicines is not limited to Lebanon,” stressing that “the tracking system helps us fight hoarding and know the whereregardings of medicines.”

Al-Abyad pointed out that “the issue of regulating medicines is different from the issue of finding funding for cancer medicines.”

He continued, “The solution to medicines for cancer patients is to solve the financing problem.”

He continued, “Government hospitals are doing their part, and the news of ‘scabies’ at Hariri University Hospital is exaggerated.”
